Dr. Roselyn G. Smith, Ph.D. FL PY7219 Licensed Psychologist | Critical Incident Recovery Specialist.  Dr. Smith is a Clinical Psychologist in the Pinecrest area of greater Miami, Florida. Additionally, she is a Critical Incident/Disaster Mental Health consultant to the University of Miami (main campus) for critical incident planning and response, and previously to the U.M. Miller School of Medicine, Center for Disaster Epidemiology and Emergency Preparedness (DEEP Center), where she assisted in the development and presentation of responder resiliency, disaster stress management, and Psychological First Aid (PFA) curriculum. She has been an invited participant in tabletop disaster planning sessions with the Palm Beach County Department of Public Health and was an advisor to the former Mayor of the City of Coral Gables, Florida on disaster-related matters.

Dr. Smith provides critical incident psychological support to numerous private entities and is one of few mental health professionals, nationwide, qualified to conduct Psychological First Aid training for continuing education credit to medical, mental health, and social work professionals. She has also presented Psychological First Aid and resiliency training to thousands of responders, safety managers, military, public health officials and other private and public sector lay personnel across the United States and internationally. Prior to returning for her doctoral studies, Dr. Smith worked as a marketing and corporate development executive in the healthcare and passenger transportation industries where she was the corporate spokesperson in the midst of crises and on a routine basis.

Dr. Smith has presented disaster behavioral health and responder resiliency seminars with the former United States Assistant Surgeon General of the United States for Mental Health Care and also conducts corporate and public sector leadership development, stress management, and mindfulness training for increased focus and work-related performance, as well as frequently being called upon to present keynote addresses to diverse organizations and associations.
